Mechanical Works by Takatoshi "Takker" Katoh is a free futuristic display font shaped by broad geometric forms and clean horizontal cut-ins that run through the lettering. That repeated split gives the design a machine-drawn rhythm, softening the otherwise blocky silhouette and keeping the font tied to a clear techno idea rather than a generic heavy display style.

It makes sense on game titles, sci-fi posters, tech event graphics, album covers, and interface-style branding where short lines need a controlled synthetic edge. The wide curves and steady midline breaks also give logos, packaging headers, and motion graphics a crisp modular pattern that feels engineered without becoming cold or skeletal.
